Mahmoud Ghazayel, is a journalist working currently in 24 an online news portal, previously in Alhayat – pan-arab newspaper-, and also an activist in several issues related to human rights and democracy.
Graduated from the Lebanese University with a master’s degree in professional Journalism, his skills are widely known for all sorts of topics related to internet, computer software, journalism and new media.
He believes that the future of journalism will remain written press but with a different way of writing and with the advantage of using the industry shifts incubated by the Internet, combining the best of traditional media with the boundless potential of digital media.
“The future will definitely be a hybrid one, combining the best practices of traditional journalism — fairness, accuracy, storytelling, deep investigations — with the best tools available to the digital world — speed, transparency, and, above all, engagement”.
Mahmoud was elected several of time to represent Lebanon in international events, such as with the United Nation’s Youth Association, the Lebanese scout association, and was recently appointed in the advisory board of MARCH, an NGO that emphasize on the freedom of expression
ًWith the media skills he have worked on over the past years, he gave several of workshops and seminars related to journalism, photography and social media, along with working on projects with artists, NGOs, and political parties on leveraging their online image.
Apart from Journalism, Mahmoud has also held 4 art galleries, one for drawing, and 3 so far for photography.
